Thomas Traversa and Leon Jamaer travelled to Galicia to catch the first swell of the winter season. Galicia is an autonomous community of Spain and located at the north western corner of the Iberian Peninsula. The coast is rugged and big swells can hit the rocky shores. It’s the perfect terrain for the wave windsurfing pros, who are in constant search of big waves and wind.

Thomas and Leon took a lot of risk riding the massive hollow waves. They drew fantastic lines, landed massive aerials 0r Wave 360s. But sometimes the wind was off and they had to jump off their boards, which resulted in heavy gear damage most of the time. Luckily they both managed to climb back ashore over the slippery bulky rocks without injuries. They took a lot of risk to catch huge waves and once again they proofed their awesome skills in wave windsurfing!

Jamie Hancock accompanied the entire trip with his sharp eyes and cameras. He captured big action from the air, from the land and from the jet ski and got support by Luke Raistrick. By the way, Galicia has an overall coast line of 1700 kilometers. Not all spots are ridden yet by Thomas and Leon. Thomas knows the coast quite well as he travelled there several times. We bet they’ll start a new adventure to the Costa del la Muerte (Coast of the Death).

Leon and Thomas tracked a swell from Portugal to Galicia scoring insane conditions on the way. From perfect waves, big airs and massive aerials, it was the perfect trip to once again get together and enjoy the finer things in life. Jamie Hancock about glorious Galicia
