Marc Pare wanted to come back with a bang after his foot injury. And this is what happened. Marc Pare won the the single elimination of the PWA Tenerife Wave World Cup in front of Julian Salmonn and Victor Fernandez.

I am over the world at the moment. I am just trying to assimilate what happened but I am very stoked. Coming back from the injury I can not ask for anything else. To win the single elimination is a dream. Marc Pare

In all his heats Marc seemed to be very confident. He took the necessary risk to find himself in the final. He was one of the few sailors who went for Double Forward Loops and landed them cleanly. His wave selection was excellent and he was patient enough waiting for the right sets of waves to execute his moves, like Takas or fully carved turns.

Julian Salmonn collected 0,26  points more on the waves than Marc but Julian was not able to challenge Marc in jumping. Julian is very happy as he will finish another competition, after his 2nd place in Pozo, on the podium, too.

Victor Fernandez finished in 3rd, just 0,02 points in front of Liam Dunkerbeck. Victor knows the waves at El Cabezo very well and as well knows how to ride them. With his experience and skills in wave riding he advanced heat by heat. Victor is already 40 years but he still challenges the young ones. The Spaniard maybe used to rik more in his jumps in the past but his Backloops in all variations are definitely one of the best.

Liam Dunkerbeck, who narrowly missed out on the podium, wasn’t able to find the right waves to collect the necessary scores. He landed a 8,10 points Double Forward Loop in the final and showed great riding until the final heat, but just in the final he only scored 5,38 points for his two wave rides, what was not enough.
